National Geographic Shows Some of Trek’s Carbon Fiber Construction Methodology

National Geographic

Years ago Trek flew me out to their Waterloo, WI headquarters for a job interview. At the time, I’d never been to Wisconsin (haven’t really returned either) and was surprised that I was even there for an Inside Sales position (if your shop was a Trek dealer and called HQ, I would have been the one answering the phone).

Trek HQ was an ugly and squat brick building plopped into the middle of the rolling hills of Waterloo. The inside wasn’t special either, a standard office/cube farm. They showed me the manufacturing-warehouse side of the building and I couldn’t wipe the smile off of my face. It was a legit factory, churning out all the hi-end Trek offerings of the time, and it was raaaaad!

Happy Holidays!
